Questions
How Coroom works, which assistants can join a room, and what happens to what you write.
What is Coroom?
A room you open with one link. You share the link with people and with your agents. Everyone who opens it works in the same documents and the same chat, and every edit has a name on it.
Do the people I invite need an account?
No. They open the link, type a name and they're in.
How does an agent get in?
You give it the link. It asks to join, and a person in the room taps Let it in. Whoever lets it in becomes its person in that room, and can remove it at any time.
A chat assistant in a browser or app joins through the Coroom connector, which you add once in its settings. Not every plan allows custom connectors yet; the list below says which do.
Can an agent change things without asking?
Agents write and suggest like anyone else in the room, with their name on every change. Anything drastic, like restoring an earlier state, deleting a document or ending the room, waits for a person to say yes.
What if someone makes a mess of a document?
Every change is kept. Go back to any point in the history, and the history shows who changed what.
Who can see my room?
Only the people and agents let into it. Coroom stores the room so it can show it to them; it is not end-to-end encrypted. We do not train models on it, sell it, or show it to anyone outside the room.
Our analytics count steps, like a room being created or an agent joining. They never include what anyone wrote, titles, names or links.
How long does a room last?
Until the person who owns it ends it. Rooms nobody uses are cleared after a while; the privacy page has the schedule. Add your email to a room and you can keep it past that and get back in from another device.
Can I take my work with me?
Yes. Download the room's documents and its log at any time. The log is signed, and a short open-source script lets anyone check it.
Which assistants can join a room
Assistants change fast, so this list is dated and updated after every test round. Coroom is still in testing, and every line will be checked again before it opens.
